Some say busy is seductive, I prefer not being seductive.

3 weeks ago an ex-boss of mine called on a Sunday, he said he needed me until Dec. 31st. He was my boss during social service, I finished that by the end of October. I was not busy and I needed a distraction, so I said yes. Little did I know about the amount of work he had, but being brave I decided to take it.

It’s January 3rd and he has offered me to stay longer, with a promotion both work wise and economically. I asked for a bit of time. You see, of the 3 previous weeks only one I had school, so the next two were not as hard. But now I am back to school and I start work at 8am, get home at 5.10pm and leave to school at 5.50pm, then back until 10pm. It is sometimes a bit too much, specially when there are homeworks involved.

Boss has said I can start at 9am instead of 8, and that whenever I have to leave early I can do so. He’s practically begging me to stay at least until May, since he knows I might have other plans for when school is done.

Of course school is my priority, and as I said, I will be done in May. I can’t wait, by the way. I am counting the days :P

I am really hoping I don’t feel it’s too hard to do both at this time, I feel really grateful to my boss and I really wouldn’t like to leave… work is still very busy, although the bad bad time has passed, at least for a while.

Besides, in all honesty, work has been so helpful through this time. It’s too busy you cannot allow yourself to be thinking of something, or someone, else. I think it’s helping me big time and I am afraid if it’s not there anymore I will be sad, or miss too much, or one of those horrible things that happen after a breakup.

I’ll let you know all about my work life.  And, the emotional part of my life is really not too bad. At least way better than I expected. Funny how things work out sometimes. I guess the whole things happen for a reason is, besides comforting, very true.

   It always helps. Helps pass the time. Helps get through the rough moments. Helps keep you sane.

   Being busy is one thing though, being productive (as opposed to be busy on the rubik’s cube all the time) is a whole new story altogether. :)
