I just realized my blog is sort of broken: the flickr thing on the side is not working and I thought I had created some about page. I think I’ll update and try to fix these things today. Wish me luck :p

Update: WP updated, about page created, flickr thing still not working :/

My mum is just the best

Today my mum told me 2 very handsome doctors are coming home, she made emphasis on the handsome part. My mum had never ever even attempted introducing me to anyone and I guess in any other circumstances I would have found this highly intrussive and akward but this is happening after yesterday I told her I was very happy because I have a crush on someone, so instead I found her comment very sweet.

I explained to her that this crush is merely platonic but that the part that is making me very happy is the part about actually being able to like someone else. It’s almost 4 months after my last relationship ended and while I have been going out often I hadn’t taken any real interest on anyone, simply because I wasn’t even able to like someone else. This does feel like I am going on the right direction and you have no idea how good it feels.

Where’s the magnifying glass?

Last nite one of our taxi drivers had an accident, someone hit his car. Fortunately nothing happened to either him nor the passangers.

The idiot who hit him ran away. They tried to follow him but lost him, luckily they realized his truck was spilling oil and they decided to follow the trail. I don’t know why but when they told me how it happened I couldn’t stop picturing them like in one of those cartoons where the spy always uses a magnifying glass.

We have a happy ending to this, just like in the cartoons: they found him. He said he didn’t do it. It amazes me how some people can be such jerks. Police had to pay him a visit and he has to pay for the damage.

At the hospital

Mum had a surgery yesterday, I spent all day and nite there… it was horrible! She was in pain and besides the part where you can’t sleep it’s miserable to watch your mum in pain. Thankfully she’s at home now and it all went great :)

There was a very friendly and handsome nurse at the hospital, but people, I am certainly staying away from those :p

- I finished the 9th out of 10 terms at school. Party by the end of May. You are all invited ;)

- Work is amazing. I am learning a bunch of stuff. Good call the one about staying.

- I had the last week off at school. Monday I went shopping. Tuesday I went for a coffee with a friend. Wednesday I went to the cemetery and mass, it was the anniversary of my bro’s death. Then we all had dinner. Thursday I watched TV, soap operas still rock! Friday I went out for a few drinks, with some friends and that date guy, I was home by 1am. Saturday after work I did nothing but catching up on a few TV series. Today I woke up so late, went on IRC for about 20 mins, had breakfast, showered, writing this and going out in a few for lunch with friends.

- I bought the nicest jeans I found on Monday. Along with some sort of scarves, a pair of shoes, sunglasses and lip gloss. I am proud about doing all this in around 3 hours :p

-  I haven’t forgotten him but it doesn’t feel like someone’s pressing my chest all of the time. I believe this is a very good sign.

- It’s getting late. I hope you all had a nice week. Eventhough I haven’t commented much, I still read you all ;)

Learning to walk (again)

Jennifer reminded me about using “stupid women’s dress shoes” (hehe). I have never been a fan of high heels or any of that stuff. I gotta admit though that wearing them does make me feel like prettier or hotter or something :p

Anyways, after I fell down last year my foot still hurts at times, it’s a secret at home though, I do not dare to complain because I know I will be sent to the doctor; so, obviously wearing heels was a no no until that Saturday date. And, I just wanted to tell you that I have made a new year’s resolution (kinda late) learning how to use heels again. I will let you know about my progress ;)

How about a date on Saturday?

Something like those were his words on Friday, my eyes were a bit too open, he couldn’t help himself and laughed at me.

It was cold, rainy and 2 months since the break up. I didn’t have many expectations about my mood but it was way better than I expected. Dinner was delicious, drinks were warming and the time shared and spent was amazing. He picked me up at 9pm and we got home at 2.30am.

He kept saying I looked better than ever… we were very good friends in high school. It felt very nice :)

- Work is so busy.

- Going to the gym has become problematic since my foot accident so I am doing some yoga. The best part? The relaxation at the end.

- I walk way better in heels now. My foot feels better, still hurts at times though.

- School is driving me crazy, I am supposed to do some research but I can’t even figure out what the topic will be.

- I didn’t go to school today. I plan to fall asleep as soon as I am done posting this.

- Seen the iphone? I’m drooling, still.

- My eyes got some sort of infection, can’t be much by the computer, though I obviously have to be at work. Outside of work I don’t have much time, so not really a problem.

- Google reader is my saviour. It makes sure my 30 mins online, work free, are very well used.

- I got a bag full of things I was going to send to the ex in Christmas, bought of course when we were still together. I don’t know what to do with it. I look at it and then look away.

- I got hilites on my hair again. I love them. I feel liberated.

Done! :)
